Assistant to the Chairman

Due to ongoing expansion of the organisation we are now looking to fill the key position of Assistant to the Chairman. Reporting to the Chairman you will have varied responsibilities. These will include but not be limited to:

  • Providing support to the Chairman in delivering overall company strategic objectives
  • Involved in supporting the organisations operational excellence, quality and communication strategies
  • Conduct project research/analysis as directed by the Chairman
  • Setting deadlines for submission of paperwork, following up with senior staff and assembling all documentation in readiness for circulation
  • Contribute to the organisations internet and social medical strategies including data analysis and communications
  • Interacting extensively with multiple parties, both internal and external and building good professional rapport with key internal and external contacts
  • Producing correspondence, preparing reports, documents, emails, presentations, etc
  • Meeting preparation, including drafting agendas, briefing papers, etc
  • Attending meetings, etc. and taking minutes / recording actions for follow up and execution

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 2 – 3 years in a similar role
  • Graduate or post-graduate qualification in a business-related discipline desirable but not essential
  • A strong expertise in MS Office and other packages is required to be able to support and produce documents, briefing papers, presentations etc.
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Must have excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently along with organising and plan their own work load
  • Experienced in exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive company information
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have the ability to work to deadlines
  • Flexible approach to travel and working hours
