Practice Manager

Job Summary
To provide leadership and management to ensure that the Practice meets its agreed aims and objectives. To fully support the delivery of quality clinical care by the medical staff. The Practice Manager will be accountable for the provision of expert management services to the practice with main areas of responsibility being patient services, quality control, marketing and the day-to-day running of the Practice.

The duties of the Practice Manager will include but not be limited to:
* Ensuring the quality of services offered to patients
* Overseeing patient records
* Monitor patient satisfaction, handling any complaints
* Liaising with the IT Manager to ensure the IT system is maintained and developed, ensuring the appointments system runs smoothly
* Analyse appointments looking at supply and demand
* Recruiting, training and managing administrative staff
* Develop and review policies and procedures keeping abreast of current legislation
* Ensuring all Practice staff are kept informed of all policy changes
* Monitoring and assessing Practice performance against targets set
* Preparing of meaningful and timely financial reports as required by management
* Managing the procurement of equipment, supplies and services
* Develop, maintain and market new and existing services

Person Specification
The successful candidate is expected to have demonstrated achievement in the following areas:
* Education to degree level or equivalent qualification
* Experience of managing people and teams
* Advanced IT skills
* Ability to prioritise, organise and carry out own work effectively
* Knowledge of relevant legislation
* Demonstrate ability in planning, developing and implementing strategies
* Capacity to devise and review systems for operational efficiency
* Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
